To begin the fostering process, you will talk with one of our adoption counselors who will discuss your particular situation and recommend a pet that will best suit your lifestyle.
Here are some things to think about:
  • If you live in an apartment where pets are allowed, you may find that fostering a large gentle dog is easier than fostering a small lap dog. If you have children, their ages will be key to what breed of dog might be most suitable.

  • If you already have a pet at home be sure to think about how the two will get along and what kind of arrangements you'll need to make to keep them separated while at work or away from the house.

  • If you live close to a busy street, you'll need to have a fenced in yard so your pet can get some exercise.
Our Counselors will assist you with these and many other questions when you are ready to adopt.
