The Mission of The Humane Society of Garland County is to:
  1. Increase public awareness through a comprehensive, humane education program focused on the proper and humane treatment of animals and the importance of spaying and neutering.
  2. Accept and provide humane care and treatment to sick, abused, abandoned or neglected animals.
  3. Prevent all forms of cruelty to animals by every legitimate means.
  4. Provide a temporary refuge for stray, homeless and deserted animals and adopt such animals into loving homes whenever practical.
  5. Return lost pets to their rightful owners.
  6. Operate a low-cost spay & neuter clinic and expand our cooperative programs with veterinarians and governmental and private agencies.
  7. Avoid euthanasia — while ending suffering in a humane manner, when recommended by a licensed veterinarian — of any animal, which it is impractical to cure of its infirmities.
  8. Provide volunteer investigators to enforce and maintain our mission to protect the welfare and quality of life of animals.
